Online and Web Based Trainings

As part of our continued effort to provide accessible training to all UAMS employees, we are happy to now provide online web based trainings. Current and new trainings online include: the Manager’s Guide to HR and Title IX Online for Employees and Students. Also, please look forward to upcoming webinars hosted by various members of our team, which will include a variety of topics.

Online Course Facilitation

Present courses may be accessed through Blackboard or Training Tracker. You may check with our Online Training Specialist Rhonda Partney-Wakelyn for more information regarding access and registration of our online trainings. Please note that you may take the Title IX training via Training Tracker or Blackboard (should you need accommodation or have difficulty accessing the training off campus). The Manager’s Guide to HR-Online is provided to our new managers in Blackboard. You must complete the Manager’s Guide to HR-Online during your first year of employment as a new manager at UAMS. The course is offered every six months and you are given six months to complete the entire training (including the modules) within the six month time frame of your registration in the course. The Title IX training for Employees and Students must be completed by all new employees and students at UAMS. There are two options available for you to complete the training. Odette Woods, our Senior Human Resources Director of Immigration,Title IX and Affirmative Action Compliance, will  provide on-site training for this new policy to your department or division. You may either sign up for an on-site training or the Title IX  Online training in Training Tracker or you may contact the office of Human Resources for more information. Please call the Human Resources Department at 501-686-5650 to schedule training for your department or division.

Currently Under Development and Coming Soon

The Organizational Development Department is also currently developing several other trainings that will be provided to you online. These trainings include: Introduction to Project Management, HR Law for Managers, and numerous others. Please check back often as we are continuously developing new online trainings.

Starting in September, we will begin providing webinars utilizing Blackboard Collaborate. Instruction will be provided by Michael Yang  and Laura Luce. The webinars will include two of our department’s most popular topics: Emotional and Social Intelligence on September 11th and Behavioral Interviewing on September 25th.
