Executive Director, Organizational Development and People & Culture Partners
Sheridan Richards, M.Div., MA, SHRM-CP is the Executive Director of Organizational Development and People & Culture Partners in the Division of People and Culture (DPC) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. In this role, Sheridan is responsible for leading the design and implementation of high-impact talent and organizational development programs that span the employee lifecycle in support of UAMS’ strategic goals and objectives. Sheridan oversees the assessment of the learning and change management needs of the organization, the development of strong collaborative partnerships across the UAMS system and identifying opportunities for enhancing organizational effectiveness. Sheridan has extensive leadership experience in the private, corporate and government sectors facilitating leadership development, change management, employee engagement, performance management, and organizational design which led to measurable improvements in culture, financials, and accountability within those organizations. Sheridan was previously the Senior HR Business Partner for the College of Medicine and was responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management across the college and other campus areas. Originally from Los Angeles, California, Sheridan graduated from California State University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science; Fuller Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity; Northwestern University with a Master’s in Public Policy and Public Administration; and is a certified practitioner in human resources management (SHRM-CP).
