How FSAs work
Come to the Benefits Fair on Wed, Nov 20 to talk with our benefit carriers and enjoy hot dogs, snacks and giveaways. Held on the ground floor of the Ed 2 building from 9-3.
Some changes can be made at any time of the year. Those include your contribution to the UA Retirement Plan (form) and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (form). For these changes, click the form link, print the form, fill out, and return to our office by email to AskHR@uams.edu or by fax to 501-686-5386.
How to make open enrollment benefit changes
All open enrollment elections must be made online in Employee Self Service.
View these instructions for step-by-step details and screen prints.
You may not be able to access Employee Self Service for several hours on these dates when payrolls are being processed: Nov 5, 19, 21; and on Nov 17 from 7:30 to 9:30 for the monthly SAP reboot.
TIP: Be sure to click “Save” at the top of each screen when you make changes in order to complete your enrollment.
If you’d like some help navigating Employee Self Service, plan to attend a computing lab session and we’ll help you! Scroll to the bottom of this page for dates and times.
All employees enrolled in medical must to log into Employee Self Service by November 30, 2019 and take the Tobacco Pledge. Those who fail to do this, or who indicate they use tobacco and will not enroll in a cessation program, will pay a $50 monthly/$23.08 biweekly tobacco surcharge.
Not sure what benefits you have now?
Log into Employee Self Service (ESS) and select Benefits, then UAMS Benefits Statement to see all the benefit plans available to you and whether or not you’re enrolled in each. If you select Benefits Participation Overview you will only see the benefits in which you are currently enrolled as of today; but change the date to 01-01-2020 to verify you successfully completed your open enrollment elections.
