What to Expect on Orientation Day
On UAMS’ Orientation Day, new employees can expect a warm welcome and an introduction to the organization’s mission and vision. Keynote speakers, including top UAMS leadership, will share insights into the institution’s strategic direction, human resources, educational sessions, policy reviews, team-building activities, and UAMS’ core values. New hires will learn about company benefits, wellness programs, and campus-specific information, if applicable.
- You should have received an email from the UAMS IT department with instructions for logging in using your UAMS login. If you need additional assistance, reach out to UAMS IT Helpdesk at 501-686-8555. Your temporary login expires on your first day of employment.
- Have a notebook and pen for taking notes, water, and any snacks you might need handy before lunch. You may also want to bring a sweater or jacket on Orientation Day.
- Silence your mobile device ringer during presentations and store it away to avoid unnecessary distractions.
- Speak respectfully to coworkers and actively engage in all scheduled activities and sessions.
- Know your next steps: Reach out to your manager to find out what to do after you get your ID Badge.
