As a new employee, onboarding can often be overwhelming. There are new people, policies, procedures, and more to absorb while assimilating into a new role. An Onboarding Mentorship Program provides a great opportunity for our new employees to establish a resourceful partnership early in their career. The mentors can serve as a trusted resource as the mentee learns about company culture, department best practices, and other resources available to them across the enterprise. Mentorships are known to drive positive employee engagement, retention, and employee satisfaction.
These documents can be used as suggested materials to develop your departments’ Onboarding Mentorship Program and can be edited and used in a way that fits your team’s schedules and responsibilities. However, we recommend utilizing a similar program format to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive mentorship experience.
