FMLA and Disability Insurance
If you are unable to work due to a non-work-related illness or injury, or childbirth, short-term and long-term disability insurance provides financial protection by replacing a portion of your pre-disability earnings. UAMS provides basic coverage with employee option to buy additional, optional coverage. See below for separate long-term disability plan for Faculty Group Practice members and Housestaff/Resident Physicians.
