“Ready for Life” is an innovative online platform aimed at assisting individuals in Arkansas with their career and learning paths. It was first launched by the Arkansas state government in January 2021, with the goal of connecting job seekers with employers. The platform was developed in partnership with technology provider FutureFit AI, harnessing the power of artificial intelligence to provide personalized career guidance.
“This platform is an example of how we can use technology to erase barriers to success for our citizens. Ready for Life gives everyone an opportunity to reach their full potential, and lead productive, fulfilling and prosperous lives in Arkansas.”
ADE’s news release
The platform was designed to empower every Arkansan, helping them reach their full potential and lead productive, fulfilling, and prosperous lives. It began as a $15 million initiative, funded by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, with part of the funds distributed to two-year institutions across the state to expand workforce training opportunities.
“Ready for Life” serves dual purposes. For individuals, it serves as a tool to build their skills and explore career and learning pathways based on their unique background and needs. For employers, it’s a platform to advertise open positions and connect with prospective applicants.
This relaunch represents an amazing opportunity for Arkansas”

In 2023, an enhanced version of “Ready for Life” was launched, incorporating lessons learned from the first year of operation. This relaunch represented a significant expansion of the program’s offerings and services. The new platform offers a robust, dynamic, and personalized path to accessing training, learning, and exploring job offerings. It is not just a job listing site; it offers career pathway guidance powered by artificial intelligence for each user, further bolstering its commitment to providing personalized, relevant guidance for all Arkansans.1
