2026 Employee Engagement Survey

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the Employee Engagement Survey?

The Employee Engagement Survey is a tool used to gather insights on employee experience, engagement levels, and areas for improvement. The survey allows UAMS to better understand how we can improve workplace culture, enhance employee satisfaction, and drive organizational performance.

2. When can I take the Employee Engagement Survey?

You may complete the engagement survey anytime between June 2, 2026 at 7:00 a.m. through June 24, 2026, at 11:00 p.m. This includes working and non-working hours. If you choose to take the survey during work, please notify your manager/team if stepping away for privacy or comfort, and ensure it does not affect patient care. Managers are encouraged to set time aside for employees to complete the survey. The survey automatically saves, so you may begin the survey and come back later to finish where you left off. Each employee may only complete the survey once during this period. It is important to note that the survey is not complete until you click the “submit” button at the end of the survey. Surveys not completed/submitted will not be included in the report.

3. Who can complete the survey?

All regular UAMS employees, full-time and part-time, hired before March 1, 2026, are encouraged to complete the survey at a convenient time during the survey window. While the survey is voluntary, your feedback is critical to shaping the future of UAMS.

4. How do I access the survey?

Employees will receive a unique link from Press Ganey via email. This link is tied to your individual response. You can complete the survey on any mobile device, but you will need to access the URL from the email sent to you. Please do not share your individual link with anyone else. If you do not regularly access your UAMS Outlook email, you may scan the QR code to access the site and use your unique Press Ganey password. If you choose to access the survey using this method, your password will be the first four letters of your last name and the last four digits of your Workday ID.

Example: John Smith with WD#: 1234567 – Press Ganey Password: smit4567

5. How long does the survey take to complete?

The survey typically takes around 20 minutes to complete. Your feedback is valuable, and we encourage you to take the time to answer thoughtfully.

6. When will the survey be administered, and what is the timeline?

  • Survey Administration: June 2, 2026, at 7:00 a.m.
  • Last Day to Complete Survey: June 24, 2026, at 11:00 p.m.
  • High-Level Results Released: July 1, 2026

7. Can I take the survey on my mobile device?

8. Why is Employee Engagement important?

Employee Engagement is critical because engaged employees are more motivated, productive, and committed to the success of the organization. When employees feel valued and connected to their work, they contribute to a positive workplace culture, drive innovation, and deliver higher-quality care and service. At UAMS, Employee Engagement is also essential for aligning our goals with the ASPIRE 2033 initiative, enhancing overall performance, improving patient outcomes, and creating a thriving work environment. Engaged teams help us meet our mission and make a lasting impact.

9. What is UAMS’ ASPIRE 2033, and how does the engagement survey support it?

ASPIRE 2033 is our next strategic plan that will guide how UAMS advances patient care, education, research, and service to Arkansas over the next several years. By understanding engagement levels, we can take actionable steps to achieve UAMS’ long-term goals of enhanced performance, improved patient outcomes, and a positive work environment. More information about ASPIRE 2033 may be found here on the UAMS webpage.

10. How will the data from the survey be used?

The survey is 100% confidential. Aggregate data collected will help UAMS identify opportunities for improvement, strengths, and correlations between employee, patient, provider, and consumer experiences. This unified approach will support us in enhancing clinical outcomes and overall organizational performance by ensuring targeted actions are taken to address key areas of concern or opportunity.

11. Is the survey confidential?

Yes, Press Ganey oversees all raw data and ensures confidentiality. UAMS only receives aggregated data and participation rates to monitor the completion of the survey. Any comments provided will be shared anonymously with management and executive leadership to foster honest feedback without
identification.

12. Will my manager be able to see my individual responses?

No, the survey is 100% confidential. Individual responses are not shared with anyone at UAMS. Data is aggregated at the team level, and responses remain confidential. Managers will only see summarized data, ensuring that your personal feedback remains anonymous.

13. What if I didn’t receive the survey email or lose my link?

If you do not receive the email or lose the link, you can contact the Press Ganey support team at hdesk@pressganey.com for assistance.

14. What if someone else uses my survey link?

Do not forward or share your survey link with anyone else. If another person uses your unique link, they will be taking the survey on your behalf. Please use the email link directly and do not share it with others. If you do not receive the email or receive an error from the link, you can contact the Press Ganey support team at hdesk@pressganey.com for assistance.

15. What should I do if my unique password doesn’t work?

In rare cases (less than 10 individuals), some employees may end up with the same password. If this happens to you, someone from the HR Business Partner team will reach out with your correct password.

16. How often will the survey be conducted?

Our goal is to conduct the Employee Engagement Survey annually. However, follow-up actions based on survey results will occur throughout the year to ensure continuous improvements are made in response to your feedback.

17. Why is my participation in the survey important?

Your participation is crucial in helping UAMS create a thriving workplace where employee feedback informs decision-making. The insights you provide directly contribute to improving work conditions, culture, and organizational performance. By sharing your experience, you ensure your voice is heard
in shaping a better workplace for all.

18. What if I’m not sure how to answer a particular question?

If you are unsure about how to answer a specific question, we encourage you to reflect on your experiences and provide the most honest answer possible. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us understand how we can improve our workplace. Every response counts toward creating a better work environment, so even if you’re unsure, your perspective is important.

19. What if I need support navigating the Press Ganey portal?

Employees and managers may contact their HR Business Partner for support. Results will become available to managers approximately 6-8 weeks after the conclusion of the survey.

20. What happens after the survey is completed?

Once the survey period is over, managers will have access to their team’s results via the Press Ganey portal approximately 6-8 weeks after. The overall organizational results will be shared with Executive Leadership, and individual teams will begin creating action plans for areas identified as opportunities for improvement.

21. How will Press Ganey help us track and improve employee engagement over time?

Press Ganey’s platform allows us to track engagement levels over time, monitor trends, and correlate data across different experiences (e.g., employee, patient, provider). This data-driven approach will offer greater insights into how engagement affects performance, enabling UAMS to implement targeted improvements and continuously refine our strategies.

22. How do we move forward after receiving the results?

Once the data is available, managers will collaborate with their teams to review the results and begin the action planning process. This involves identifying strengths, celebrating wins, and pinpointing opportunities for improvement. Teams will work together to develop actionable steps that align with UAMS’ ASPIRE 2033 initiative to increase employee engagement and improve
organizational culture.

23. Will I get data specific to my team?

Managers will receive aggregate data specific to their team if four or more employees from the team complete the survey. If fewer than four employees participate, the data will roll up to the next level in the organizational hierarchy.

24. What if my team’s engagement score is low?

If your team’s engagement score is low, your HR Business Partner will collaborate with managers to identify specific areas for improvement and develop an action plan for their team. Low scores are an opportunity for growth, and UAMS is committed to supporting teams through additional resources, discussions, and actionable strategies to improve engagement.

25. How will we ensure the action plans developed from the survey are effective?

In conjunction with their HR Business Partner, managers will collaborate with their teams to create measurable action plans that focus on identified strengths and opportunities. These plans will be regularly reviewed, and progress will be tracked to ensure that actions lead to meaningful improvements in engagement and performance. Feedback loops will be established to assess the effectiveness of actions taken.
